Executive Chef David Joo is an accomplished culinarian well known for his passion and refinement of his craft of culinary arts. With a distinguished background that includes two culinary degrees, a grand diploma from the French Culinary Institute and the Culinary Institute of America, Chef Joo seamlessly marries business acumen with culinary finesse. As the previous Executive Chef at the Peninsula New York, Chef Joo orchestrated five star luxury dining experiences, showcasing his prowess in menu engineering and gastronomic innovation. His dedication to delivering uncompromising quality and his fine attention to detail have positioned him as a tastemaker in the realm of luxury hotel dining, garnering enough attention to be written up in Port Magazine, Town and Country, and being able to be a contributor for Bon Appetit. Before working at the Peninsula New York, Chef Joo’s resume also includes working for acclaimed restaurateur Drew Nieporent at his Robert De Niro-partnered restaurant, Tribeca Grill, the Forbes four star Loews Regency Hotel, Starr restaurant group, Daniel Boulud, Tom Colicchio, and April Bloomfield.
